Romzy
Founder of Romzy Studio – Fashion as a statement of creativity and inclusion
Roméo Moukagny, known as Romzy, is a Gabonese designer based in Dakar, and the creative force behind Romzy Studio, one of the most talked-about names in contemporary African fashion.
He gained international attention with the now-iconic “Skin Dress”, a powerful celebration of beauty in diversity, worn by global star Ciara on the cover of Rolling Stone Africa.
In 2024, he launched the bold “Skinprint” campaign, challenging taboos around skin conditions. The initiative garnered worldwide media coverage, including Vogue Italia, and cemented Romzy Studio’s status as a brand to watch.
In 2025, he opened his first physical retail space, “Le Bois Sacré”, in Dakar — more than just a boutique, it is an experiential hub where the community can explore the atelier, commission bespoke pieces, and immerse themselves in Romzy’s creative universe.
Romzy embodies boldness, creativity, and genuine social engagement — his work invites the world to wear Africa differently, with pride and awareness.
